what "internationally recognised" is worth
You have read that phrase on every academy page in this industry. It is worth knowing what it means, because most of the time it means nothing at all.
There is no European authority that recognises aesthetics academies. None. Any organisation can issue a certificate and call it international, and the overwhelming majority do exactly that.
Two things do carry weight, and both can be checked by somebody other than the issuer. A certificate issued by a body accredited to ISO/IEC 17024 for the certification of persons. Or a qualification entered in a national qualifications framework referenced to the European Qualifications Framework. Without one of those, "internationally recognised" is a marketing phrase.
So here is where we stand, plainly.
We do not hold either of those today. We are telling you because you would find out, and it is better that you hear it from us.
What we do have is a public register where anyone can check that you are certified and current, with the criteria written on this page and an expiry date. That is verifiable by a third party, which is the only property that matters when a client wants to know who she is trusting.
how ours works
Certificate of attendance. Issued at the end of the course, to every participant. It says you were there, because you were.
Certificate of competence. A different thing, and the one that counts. To receive it you send three pieces of work on video and in photographs within two months of the course. We review them. If they are up to standard, the certificate arrives within three months of the training.
Anyone taking the extended practice package leaves the course with three completed pieces of work, which is exactly the number required.
What the certificate of competence opens:
The right to use the FiberBrow logo in your space and your communications. Your own registration number, yours and nobody else's. A place on the official map, where anyone can confirm you are certified and current.
Without the certificate of competence, none of that is used. You can apply the technique you learned, it is yours. What you cannot do is work under our name.
renewal
The course is yours forever. The material, the manual and what you learned do not expire and nobody takes them away.
What renews is the right to use the FiberBrow name with clients: the seal, the number and the place on the map.
Every two years. You submit three pieces of work from that period, the same three we asked for to let you in. Anyone who works has them already.
It costs 120 €, which is five euros a month. And the first two years are included in the price of the course, so the first renewal arrives two years after you are already earning with the technique.
Method updates are not charged. When the material, the needle or the protocol changes, anyone who is current receives it. This is not a fee to stay on a list. It is being up to date.
Why we do it. The technique will change. In three years we will know things about depth and about oily skin that we do not know today. Whoever renews knows what we know.
And if you do not renew. You come off the map and stop using the name. You do not lose the course or what you learned, that is yours. You come back when you present three pieces of work, without repeating the training and without paying for it again.
what makes you lose it
Three reasons. They are here in the open because they should be.
Work that puts a client's health at risk.
Using the FiberBrow name for a technique that is not ours.
Teaching the technique without being an authorised trainer.
And what does not. You do not lose it for working with other brands. You do not lose it for buying materials from another supplier. You do not lose it for disagreeing with us publicly.
There are academies whose rules allow them to remove someone from the map for co-operating with another company. That protects the business of whoever issues the seal. It does not protect the client. We do not own your career.
for clinics
A clinic can certify its team and appear on the map as a certified space, not only as the name of an isolated technique.
To work under the brand we ask for proof of the professional qualification of whoever applies the technique. What qualification that is depends on where you practise, and it is your own regulator that decides, not us. We ask to see it; we do not define it.
Space certification costs 240 € every two years and renews alongside the individual ones.
With two or more certified and current professionals on the team, you pay nothing. The space seal is included. We do this deliberately: we would rather you trained two people than paid us a registration fee.
Certification starts with the training
There is no separate route. You take the in-person course, you present three pieces of work, and you enter the register.
The online training gives you the method and the theory. The seal, the number and the place on the map come from in-person practice.
